On August 15, 2008, Tom Biscardi, Ricky Dyer and Matthew Whitton held a press conference at a hotel in Paola Alto, California to officially announce an astounding and extraordinary claim. Their news would shock the world. They claimed to have finally found the deceased body of a real Bigfoot creature somewhere in the Georgia woods.  What’s more is that the men claimed to have the Bigfoot body frozen in a cooler and were more than willing to offer up a sample for DNA testing.

Whether known as Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Skunk Ape, Yeti, Nuk-Luk, Yeren or Windigo, this elusive and cryptic creature has been a source of mystery and speculation for researchers and the public alike for many years. The earliest recorded Bigfoot sightings have even been traced back to Native North American rock paintings over 1,000 years old. Over the years, the creature has been revered by many, feared by some, and inspired the imaginations of others to search for definitive proof of its existance.

In modern times, there have been many Bigfoot sightings of the creature as well as many cases where footprints of the big foot creature have been cast to preserve and study. However, until recently, no one had reportedly discovered the entire body of a deceased Bigfoot creature. Such evidence would undoubtedly provide the skeptics with irrefutable proof of the great Skunk Ape’s existance.

Such has been the quest of Bigfoot researchers Tom Biscardi, Ricky Dyer and Matthew Whitton. Reportedly, Ricky Dyer and Matthew Whitton discovered the body of the Bigfoot in the northern woods of Georgia. The latest pictures and videos broadcast in the news seem to depict an enormous Bigfoot creature partially frozen in a large cooler. The Bigfoot footage, while short, is a lot more clear and in focus than most other video clips of Bigfoot sightings I have seen.

Is this a hoax or has a real Bigfoot been found? While the initial evidence, videos and pics look promising, it will be difficult to determine whether this Bigfoot is the real deal until after the DNA test results can be independently verified. Until then, the myth of this elusive creature will live on. I encourage you to take a look at the pictures and the videos yourself and make your own decision.
